Like false accusations of apartheid against Israel, Amnesty International has confirmed a popular and made unfounded accusation against Israel of genocide.
I used to be a card-carrying member of Amnesty International. But with the October 7 massacre and the resultant war between Israel and Hamas, Amnesty International has followed the trend and the headlines to accuse Israel of genocide.
· Amnesty Israel, the local branch of the Amnesty International organization, rejected a report released Thursday by its parent group that accused Israel of committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, with some members accusing the report’s authors of reaching a “predetermined conclusion.”
· Amnesty Israel said that although the death and destruction in Gaza had reached “catastrophic proportions,” its own analysis did not find that Israel’s actions met the definition of genocide.
Redefining loaded terms like “genocide” to suit the political agenda of the woke liberal groups results in inflammatory anti-Israeli sentiment. Amnesty International is one of many human rights organizations that have followed this same trend to the applause of pro-Palestinian protesters.
What has happened to our human rights organizations?
